Our research team is developing a new powerful drug for the treatment of the pancreatic adenocarcinoma, a diagnostic for the evolutionary Barrett Esophagus and a prognostic for the aggressiveness detection of leukemia.

Inflammatory diseases
The company is studying a drug for the treatment of hepatic fibrosis and other fibrosis related diseases.

Ocular Diseases
ProtEra has patented an innovative drug that inhibits the protein involved in the progression of the Dry Eye Syndrome.

Oral care
Our research is focusing on the development of a molecule for the prevention of periodontitis, caries and gingivitis.

Other research activities
ProtEra also focuses its research on degenerative diseases such as  emphysema, arthritis, Alzheimer, multiple sclerosis, angiogenesis, cancer metastases and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis analyzing the structure of the proteins involved in these pathologies, such as MMPs and SOD1 mutants.
ProtEra scientists have cloned and analyzed in depth a number of MMPs and have also solved the 3D structure of some unknown MMPs, such as MMP-10 & MMP-20!
